THE HUSH HUSH DIARY
If beaches are what you love the most, then here is another travel itinerary that you are going to superbly enjoy. Apart from the gorgeous destination, the story is being narrated from the lens of a professional photographer, GAURAV SETHI, turning it into an enchanting fairytale.
Here’s what Gaurav has to say,
“The whole idea about this trip was to celebrate our daughter’s 1st birthday in the most unique way.
As it was going to be her first international trip, we were both worried and excited at the same time as to how she was going to react to the whole idea. And guess what, be it boarding the flights or walking down the beach, splashing in the swimming pools or riding bikes, she enjoyed every bit of it!
Now about the trip. It was a 6 day trip to 3 different locations in Thailand.
ANGSANA LAGUNA PHUKET
For the first two days we stayed at the Angsana Laguna Phuket. Set along the shores of Phuket’s Bang Tao Bay in the island’s northwest, Angsana Laguna Phuket, enjoys pristine beaches with warm white sand and more than 300 metre free-form pool area around the resort. The beautiful architecture, lake facing rooms and a private beach made it a perfect place to celebrate our little angel Adah’s birthday. Relaxing strolls on the beautiful beaches coupled with some fun water sports make it a great destination to enjoy with kids.
The hospitality was superb and the hotel staff surprised us by curating a beautiful area on the beach for us to hold the birthday celebrations.
As for the bonus, it happened to be that time of the year when Thailand celebrates the Songkran festival commemorating Thai New year – a fun water splashing festival, somewhat like Holi, that was also a lot of fun to be a part of.
After enjoying 2 days at the Angsana Laguna, we moved on to taste the city life of the busy Phuket streets. With umpteen restaurants, bike riding facilities, shopping malls and tourists from all over the world, Phuket is an exciting place to be.
For the last 2 days of the trip, we headed towards KRABI in our self driven car. The short road trip from Phuket to Krabi was an experience in itself. Laid-back and naturally beautiful, Krabi offers some of Thailand’s most striking scenery, where verdant interiors meet turquoise waters, and where nature trails and limestone islands form natural attractions abound. Accessible by boat only, our resort Centara Grand offered some stunning views and an ambience of understated luxury.
Krabi has lots to offer but as we were short of time, we could only fit in a trip to the ethereal Emerald pool in our itinerary.
Located in a national park, the journey to the Emerald pool was an amazing walk through the jungle opening up to one of the most picturesque hot water springs in Krabi. A cool dip in this natural jacuzzi wrapped up by the green foliage of the forest offered a breathtaking experience.
With this we concluded our trip to the beautiful country of Thailand. I hope when Adah grows up, she enjoys watching these pictures too that have given our family memories to cherish for the rest of our lives. “
Thanks Gaurav for sharing your experience and these beautiful pictures with our readers!
