TRAVEL DIARIES – DUBAI – Land of dreams!

Are you a last minute traveller?…Looking for a quick getaway?…Easy travel, kids friendly, not too much to plan about?

Your answer is DUBAI!

If you are living in India, Dubai can surely offer that much needed break which requires minimal travel and planning and can be booked in a week! And whats more…weather does not matter! Because in Dubai it snows indoors too! The gigantic infrastructures and architectural detail to the tip, will leave you gaping at the mesmerising skyline of this land of dreams.

If you are travelling with kids, here are our top picks of where to stay and what to do in Dubai:

WHERE TO STAY?

We stayed at the Atlantis, Dubai which is a mammoth size theme park in itself! With aquariums, water parks, man made beaches, kids clubs et al, you need a minimum of 2 days at this resort itself to enjoy it fully! The thrilling aquatic life including activities such as ‘swim with the dolphins’ and ‘meet the sea lions’ surely offer great lifetime experiences for kids and adults alike.

WHERE TO VISIT?

A 30 – 40 min drive from the Atlantis, MALL OF THE EMIRATES is home to SKI DUBAI – the most spectacular experience one can have in the middle of a dessert! Step in to a world that is going to leave you speechless at the sight of its white wintery snow glowing against the mountain themed backdrop transporting you straight to a winter wonderland. Hop on to bob sleds, strap on your ski boots, snowboard down the white slopes, zoom down the zip line, soar high an the chair lift and visit the colony of their very own snow penguins!

DUBAI MALL – Apart from truly standing accurate to the phrase ‘shop till your drop’, Dubai mall is an adventure in itself that will make your day fly away! Visit the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world (entry from within the mall), and take the lift to the view of Gods. This 829.8m tall building dwarfs even the tallest of skyscrapers that Dubai has to offer.

Next destination, KIDZANIA – a little role-play city where kids rule! At Kidzania, kids can be anything – a firefighter, a doctor, a painter, a fashion model, a police officer, a street dancer, a courier delivery guy, a beautician etc. They earn Kidzania money by taking up different professions and then get to spend the money too on shopping or entertainment! Just the way the real world works but in the most cutest, safest and fun way! A minimum of 3-4 hours are recommended to enjoy it thoroughly.
