Guacamole has been one of my favourite dips of all time but also one that is really hard to find here in Ludhiana. Served best with Mexican food, this dip is sure to take your guests by surprise as very few people really know about it. Serve it with nachos  or chips and what you’ll have is a great finger food appetizer to get your party started!


Makes 1 Cup

Avocado – 1 big (Available at Kipps)

Garlic –  2 cloves

Juice of 1/2 lemon

Salt to taste


  1. Cut the avocado once ripe and scoop it out. The avocado generally turns blackish in colour and becomes soft to touch when its ready to use.
  2. Crush the garlic and add in with all the other ingredients.
  3. Mix it well and chill in the refrigerator.
  4. Serve with nachos, homemade baked sweet potato chips or toasted bread.


This dip can be a great addition when making wraps along with some hung curd and your choice of vegetables.
