Here comes the recipe from the city of nawabs – Lucknow! A mothers heritage and a timeless classic which will never let you down!


100 gms tomato puree

1 medium size onion – paste

3 garlic clove – grated

1/2 tsp ginger – paste

1 tsp kasoori methi

3 pcs of whole red chilli

100 gm kaju – paste

1 tsp of balsamic vinegar

1 tsp of sugar

Salt to taste

2 tbsp of beaten cream

250 gm – cubed and sautéed paneer

2 tbsp of hot and sweet tomato sauce

1tsp of Kashmiri chilly powder

Pinch of garam masala


1. Sauté onion, garlic and ginger till brown and then add the rest of the ingredients.

2. Stir for 5 min and then add paneer cubes. Cover the lid and let it simmer for another 5 min.

3.  Add hot and sweet tomato sauce and garam masala.

4.Transfer it in a dish and Garnish it with a bit of cream then microwave it for 15 min.
