So here we are, unravelling the divine recipe of BANOFFEE PIE. Thanks Swastika for sharing this with our readers.
INGREDIENTS
For the base:
100gm melted amul butter
250gm crushed hob nobs biscuit or digestive biscuits
For the caramel:
90gm butter
200gm brown sugar
120ml Fresh cream
For the top:
4 bananas
300ml whipped soya cream, lightly whipped
grated chocolate
METHOD
Take a borosil flat container. Mix the crushed biscuit and melted butter. Press against the wall and make a base. Chill this for 15mins.
Melt the sugar and caramelise it until light golden brown colour in a thick pan. Add the butter cubes and stir vigorously until the sugar has dissolved into the butter.
Add the fresh cream and bring it to a rapid boil. The caramel sauce is ready.
Spread the caramel sauce over the biscuit base, cool and then refrigerate for 1 hour.
Slice bananas, place them over the caramel layer. Spread whipped soya cream over the banana. Garnish with grated chocolate.
Chill and serve.
